Wunder returns to its roots – Founders and employees reclaim ownership
We at Wunder are excited to announce a significant and inspiring change – the original founding members have repurchased the company from Korona Invest. At the same time, there is a leadership change, and as of today (Friday, February 7, 2025), Vesa Palmu will serve as Wunder’s CEO.
With this transition, Wunder’s ownership now consists solely of founders and employees, who have built Wunder with passion and dedication – for our clients, technological solutions, and the company as a whole. Three other current owners – Juha Niemi (COO), Sami Saarnio (CFO), and Tomi Mikola (Tech Leads Guild Lead) – will also continue to play an active role in the company’s operations. This change strengthens our organization’s commitment to what makes us exceptionally strong in our field.
“I'm excited to announce Wunder's next phase. We are redefining the future of content technology, empowering organisations to create, manage, and deliver strategic content with unparalleled efficiency and innovation. Our new deeply AI-integrated offerings have a measurable impact on our clients' businesses.”
– Vesa Palmu, CEO.
Vesa Palmu is one of Wunder’s founding members, the company’s first CEO, and has continuously held an ownership stake in Wunder. In addition to being actively involved in Wunder’s operations, Vesa has over 25 years of experience in IT and management consulting. He combines a background in computer science with an EMBA and is currently working on his PhD on the composable approach to building organizations at Aalto University.
Wunder will continue to be a pioneer and innovator in digital content management solutions, leveraging AI-powered technologies in our offerings. Going forward, we aim to be even more of a digital partner operating at the interface of people and technology – strongly supporting our clients' businesses.
This change in ownership or leadership will not affect our day-to-day operations or our collaboration with clients in the near future. We will focus even more clearly and passionately on our core expertise—developing digital, user-centric, and business-driven solutions around content—as well as the comprehensive digital solutions we design and implement to meet our clients' needs. And we will actively keep you informed about our new solutions that drive your business forward. We are excited about the future, and we hope that excitement will soon be reflected in your experience with us.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our former CEO, Petri Lehmus, for his contributions over the past two years, as well as to Korona Invest for several years of close and successful collaboration. Together, we have built a strong foundation from which we can now move forward into a new phase of growth.
We are truly excited about the future and look forward to growing into an even stronger partner in digital development for our clients and collaborators.
We look forward to the future with you, digital development, and AI possibilities, and we will keep you posted on our plans and milestones. If you want to be the first to hear the news, subscribe to our newsletter using the form below!
